Reflux and other accomplishments this week!

Well this week we have had a lot of activity going on. First of all my baby girl is just getting cuter and cuter if that is even possible. I mean look at this picture..... Can she get any more beautiful??? This is up there with my top two FAVE PICS OF ALL TIME NOW. Sweet precious face.

All snuggled up and headed off to her sitters house, which I will be doing a post on soon. She just loves it there and we are so thankful for Ms. Sam!!!

It has been so cold here this week, and so rainy and my precious little one has been having a very tough time dealing with her reflux. She has been on Zan.tac since she was 4 wks old, and its only been getting worse. So then we moved to thickened feeds with rice cereal 3 weeks ago and that has helped some. But nights are the worst and she is just drowning in the reflux, and some of her crying fits are breaking my heart. So we are fighting my insurance company to get them to approve for her to have the new medicine her pediatrician prescribed called Preva.cid SoluTabs. But they are just idiots.

They just keep saying she has to take all these other meds before she can be approved for Prev.acid, when none of these are appropriate for her age, she cant take Proton.ix or Nex.ium!!! these people have no idea what infants can take and just make blanket decisions because they don't want to pay.

So I just said we were going to pay cash for them because I cant stand to see my baby crying like this. Anyone who has had reflux for just one night knows how bad that it hurts. So we called to get the price.....yes...wait for it.....$237.00 for 30 SoluTabs!!!! Seriously!!! So we purchased 15 to see if we see a big difference and that was Friday night. Hopefully after a week we will see her have some relief. But as of right now, Sunday night, not much difference.

So another milestone we have accomplished of late, is our big girl has fully transitioned in just 2 nights from her PackNPlay next to our bed to her beautiful crib in her Nursery. The Pics below were the first night we put her in her bed to sleep. We gave her a nice bath and put her a new fleece "sleep sack" since you are not suppose to have any blankets in the crib with her. I wanted to make sure she was warm, so I put a onesie and socks underneath her sleep sack.

To our amazement, she slept so well, and all night!!! She was not comfortable in that packNplay I don't believe. She was always squirming and looking like she was uncomfortable. So we are so happy she is comfortable and at peace in her pretty bed we spent so much time making for her. I just loved her smiles this night as we laid her down for her first night. **Sweet memories to treasure**

Then as I KEPT checking on her during the night, I took this picture.... this is what Sweetness and I call her "touchdown" pose. She does this all the time, even when she is awake, and since we are huge football fans, it really cracks us up!!

And one very minor but other accomplishment this week, was the first time she wore tennis shoes!! I LOVED Keds when I was a kid. And I could not wait to put those shoes with the little rubber bumper over the top on my baby. Well the time came this week. I bought her some tiny little Size 2 Keds from Stride Rite and she was not sure what to do with them. But since she can't stand yet, they felt heavy on her feet. I always love a nice pair of good ole white Keds!!!

Sorry about the blurry picture.... but you gt the idea!!! All in all a great week. She has changed my life and I am living it to the fullest!!! Until next time..... She will be 3 months old on the 16th!!! Sooooo hard to believe!!!!!

The big 3 month mark!!!!

I can't believe another whole entire month has gone by..... My baby girl has hit a milestone!!! Today she is THREE MONTHS OLD!!!! She has reached that 1/4 of a year mark where so many milestones are "supposed" to happen, and she has been doing most of them for a long time. **Makes Me happy Momma**

And I can't thank my friend Amy enough for sending me these amazing little onesies from an Etsy store, they all came together in a set with her h=name on them and each month there is new onesie to wear and/or get photographed in (that's why I use them for) and of course she matched the little birdies from her nursery on the onesies. So thanks again Amy, such a sweet gift. XOXOXO
So here is my baby girl last night, just lounging around after a lazy Sunday. She is still really suffering with the reflux, but we have a pediatrician appointment this afternoon at 4pm, hopefully we can get some more answers. I hate to see my baby crying and know she is so miserable. Sweetness is also going to raise one end of her crib up so she is sleeping at an angle like she was in her bassinet again. That has to help!!!

And this was hanging out with grandma the other night, just being super sweet.

and of course the smiles make it all worth it!!!!

Tomorrow will be a very special day (and post). It is my 3rd wedding Anniversary to my amazing husband!!!! I cant wait!!!

Baby girl has had many visitors since she arrived in the world and I am using this blog year to document her little life for her eventually print to a book for her first year, so I wanted to document her first visitors she has had.......

Of course the first and most special and dear ones are grandma and great-grandma the week she came home. Four generations!!!!!

Ms. Erica sure does love baby girl!!
Her Aunt Joycie and Uncle Ron came all the way from Atlanta to see her and love on her. They brought her the most beautiful outfits and we cant wait to see them again soon!!!!

My Dad and his wife came over on New Year's Eve and brought her the cutest interactive books for Christmas and loved on Chloe the whole time.

And also on New Year's Eve our special friends PJ and Tara from Pennsylvania came over to see baby girl again. They were the ones that were at the hospital where she was born in Pennsylvania and were her very first visitors!!! She has changed alot since then.....

PJ had just come from a day in the field trying to catch his first buck, but no luck that day.

Thanks everyone for coming to visit my sweet baby girl. She will grow up to love all of you!!!

12 weeks old.......

My sweet Chloe girl, it's hard to believe you are already 12 weeks old!!! Time is flying so fast and you are really growing up into such a little girl before our very eyes, with your own unique personality and cute little mannerisms.

You weigh about 11.8 lbs right now and boy can we tell it as we pick up that car seat everyday in and out of the car, you are getting more heavy with each passing day. Mommy is going to get some much needed arm muscle toning before you are walking!!!

Posing you for your weekly pictures is not as easy as it was before. You are very squirmy as Daddy says and you are babbling up a storm to us the whole time we are trying to get you to smile :)
We have been struggling with your reflux very bad lately. Mommy gets so worried at night, I can hear you chocking on it backing up in your throat. You have been on a prescription medicine called liquid Zantac for over 6 weeks now and it seemed to be getting worse so Mommy called called the doctor back and they suggested adding rice cereal to your formula!
Mommy had no idea you could do that before 4 months old when we start trying food with you! And let me ell you, you LOVE THAT CEREAL!!!! You gulp down the entire 4 oz. bottle in 10 mins. And it has significantly helped with the reflux thankfully!!

The doctor also prescribed a medicine that dissolves in your mouth called Prevacid, but it is on a manufacturer's back order, so Mommy is so thankful this has worked for now. I hate to see you hurt so bad with the reflux.
We still cant believe how the Lord has blessed us. We adore you more than you can imagine.

11 weeks old....

Well my little superstar, this week you turned a whole 11 weeks old!! You are so dag on cute, it hurts me some days!! I love to try you in some of your new outfits to take you pictures in, you have 2 closets full, and some of them LOOK comfortable but when I put them on not so much. this out fit would be a case in point. Its all riding up around your neck and it drove me crazy but Mommy sure does love all the bright colors and you do too.

This week you have learned how to reach out and touch some one's face while they talk to you!!!! You also held a rattle for the first time and it was so cute to see you shake it and get so excited and scared at the same time!!! Your expressions are so cute!Mommy and Daddy are working on taking down all the Christmas decorations around the house now. We also are starting to play more on the floor with you on your activity mat and some of the toys you have received. Grandma bought you a super cute rolley V-Tec.h ball that lights up and talks for Christmas and you are mesmerized by that thing!! Your face is priceless when watching you play with it!!!

And lastly as we begin to set new routines for going to bed, we have begun to read her a book each night!!! She really enjoys this part with us!!!! Some of these children's books that we have been given as gifts to read to her are sooooo precious!!!!! They are so tender and so sweet, its neat for even me to get to read some of them for the first time :)

I love you pumpkin doodle...... The past 11 weeks have been pure bliss for me...... :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I usually do a run down of the past year and highlight all that has happened in the previous year, but this time there seems to be no need. 2011 was good to us.....There was only one event that meant anything really..... 2011 was finally our year!!! 2011 brought me my daughter. Finally.

As I look into this most precious angelic face in her night gown above, getting ready for bed on New years Eve, none the wiser as to another "year" having passed, I just stopped and thanked the Lord for all that HE had done to bring this angel into our life.
Here she is in her boppy where she loves to kick those feet, and talk to us everyday!!! She is so happy and frankly we are too. What's not to be happy about??? We finally got our dream come true!!! And as I packed up her size newborn clothes over the holiday weekend and switched out her active clothes to 3 months and tucked away the sweet tiny ones that touched her newest baby skin, I thought how fast it's going. She turned 11 weeks yesterday. Its just hard to keep up with the posts on here, I took the pictures, and I have to get the post up next after this one, but my sweet, tiny baby is growing up in her own right. This week she slept through the night, she reached for a rattle and she touched my face. All small things, but yet all to be celebrated.

Then we had our most special friends PJ and Tara come over on New Year's Eve night to visit. Tara came to the hospital to see her only hours after she was born. They were so sweet to let us stay with them while we were there for the birth in PA, they are the most kind and loving people ever. Kindred spirits almost. And she sure loves my baby girl.....

And her hubby PJ spent almost the whole week in a tree stand trying to catch his first deer but to no avail. I am no fan of hunting, I feel so sorry for the deer..... I am such an animal lover.... But these are the sweetest 2 people you could ever meet and I am so happy they dropped by to visit my baby girl and us before they headed back to PA. Love you guys :)

So I guess that was my little recap of 2011. To put it bluntly....... it was OUR YEAR!!!!

Mommy's Favorite Gift

My precious little pumpkin above is modeling a cute little onesie I picked up at target for a measly $5 that says "Mommy's Favorite Gift" and she is that indeed. She looks so sweet and tired in the above pic to me. Just when I don't think I can love her anymore- She melts my heart a little more!!!

I have been slipping a bit on keeping up with taking her picture on her weekly birthday and then trying to get it on here to blog about it. But As you can see below, my baby is growing up and she is so squirmy wormy, she will not hold still !!! She kicks her little legs so much it s soooo cute!!! She really thinks she is going somewhere!
But as the picture denotes, last Sunday when this picture was taken, on Christmas Day, my girl turned 10 weeks old already!!!! I can not believe it already!!! But She is definitely growing into a beautiful little princess....
And the cute little yellow safari outfit she has on is part of a set from grandma for Christmas, that is soooo cute.. I don't put her in a lot of yellow at all, but this one is so precious and it is very sweet looking on her. I thought her falling over was funny.... lol my squirmy wormy....

Oh and one wonderful thing to add to this post, My girl SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT!!!! Oh yes she didi!!!! That does not mean Mommy did, but babay girl did, becasue Mommy still was waking up constantly checking on her. But hey it was a tremendous achievement for her!!! Let's do that again tonight Chloe shall we? Okay well we will chat again soon as I have lots more to chat about so Ill be blogging soon :)
