The 2 month Pediatrician visit and first Shots

Well last Friday you turned a whole 2 months old, and it was also the day you ha your 2 month well baby check at the pediatrician office. And with that wonderful visit came your first set of immunizations...... Mommy dreaded them so bad. But before the visit you were so happy and sporting your beautiful Baby's First Christmas outfit. You are just a ham these days in front of the camera, and you smile so beautiful for me. I just adore you!!!

Then we had to get to the doctor. You were in the 25% for weight, you are our tiny princess at only 9lbs, 13.6 ozs., you are in the 50% for length at 21" long, and you have a big noggin!!! in the 85% at 15' around!!! Which means you are going to be super duper smart!!!

After all the measuring and looking over by the doctor, the mean old lady came on and took your shots, I had daddy take a picture, not because I enjoyed it, but because I just wanted to document it for you. My heart broke as they put those 3 long needles in my baby's leg and you screamed so hard you lost your breath. But then within 3 minutes you sucked on your paci and you were so happy.

Then after 10 minutes or so Dr. Lexi.er came back in to check on you because she is such a wonderful doctor and she held you and you were all happy again and dressed and totally forgot about those ole shots!!!

As a new mom I have never had to deal with a pediatrician for my child, but I tell you I really like our doc. She takes so much time with us and is very gentle with my sweet girl. She actually went through infertility herself and has twin girls through IVF she has shared, so I feel like she understands the miracle you feel after you have finally conquered infertility!!!

Then we were all snuggled in and getting sleepy before we could even get out of the exam room..........

And yep, she is out, before we even got into the car....... those shots wore her out, but I feel better now my baby is protected against some of those awful diseases out there!!!

Sleep tight my precious!!!!

IT'S GOTCHA DAY!!!!!

Well we got the best Christmas present ever yesterday!!!! My attorney called with the news, that they received the final paperwork into their office yesterday that the judge had signed the final adoption petition and Chloe Faith was finally ours FOREVER!!! The adoption was finalized on Dec. 7, 2011. So every year on Dec. 7th, this will be known as her "gotcha day!" Many of my friends that have adopted do this special celebration on the day that the child officially and legally became a part of their family and its called "Gotcha day" and it is celebrated much like their birthday every year, to let the child know how special they are to the family and how much this day really means to Mommy and Daddy.

This whole journey has truly been the biggest miracle displayed by the Lord in my Life that I have ever witnessed!!!! And Chloe thinks so too!!!!......

And here she is, showing off ..... that she is indeed the PROOF, that miracles do happen for those who believe!
My beautiful pumpkin..... Now officially all ours forever......

Grandma came over to take some pictures and celebrated with us while Daddy had to work late, and she insisted that a picture of Chloe and Mommy be included, so here it is...... me and my cupcake!!! I am in awe Lord of what you have done in my life!!!!

My precious Chloe, Daddy and Mommy love you soooooooo much, and we wanted you more than anything you could ever imagine!! We are so thrilled you are our little pumpkin and will be in our lives forever now. We feel totally complete, like a real family!!!! All because of you!!

And yesterday when I called birth mom L to tell her the great news, she started crying and said she was so happy and that this was the 'best decision she ever made' seeing how we love her and how happy she is. We are giving her the life she never could and she knows she made the right decision. It just makes me so happy that every body is so happy in the whole situation and the Lord had a grand plan for us all even when we couldnt see His hand working!!

Thank you again to you all of you who have ever prayed just one prayer on our behalf to get us to this point, we are forever grateful and Chloe is too. She is finally HOME. :)

Our trip to see Santa.

So our trip to see Santa started out as a lazy Saturday morning just laying around with our peanut on the bed. She is so fun on weekend mornings, playing and smiling on our bed!!

Then it was time for a bath to get all dressed up to see Santa for the first time!!! She loves baths now, no crying at all, just smiles and coos!! Here she is all wrapped up in her teddy bear towel, Daddy taking pics so we can remember how much fun it was!

Me and the princess!!!

Then she was all dressed and posed for some pics at home before we left for the mall....

Pure beauty.

Our angel......

The face I love to kiss and snuggle all day......

And finally the finished product at the mall. It actually turned out really cute i thought. We bought 4 5x7s for grandparents etc. and then the CD with the copyrights of the picture, so we can do anything we want to with this image..... we will save it forever that's for sure.

Hopefully one day she will look back and think how precious she looked on her very first Christmas with Santa....... Miracles happen to those who believe!!

After this picture was taken, we changed her into another more comfortable Christmas outfit and we met up with my mom and grandmother and we shopped for another 5 hours!!! So we are ready for Christmas. We have not really bought any presents to give this year. I hate it but its just the way it is financially. The adoption and all its expenses have hit hard, and me being out of work for maternity leave were all more important than buying gifts. Chloe is our gift straight from above.... and we need nothing else. Just tie a big red bow on her and our hearts are truly satisfied!!!!

On another note:

I just want to let my friends that are still waiting for their 'miracle' this holiday season know that I am still praying for you. I know how bad it hurts this time of year, it is so crushing at the holidays that you literally think some times you can't go on. But the Lord will sustain you and He has your life in His hands. Its not easy, but trust me I have been there for many years, I understand.

And to my precious friend Kim, who just miscarried yesterday, I love you. Sometimes that's all you can say. I'm here for you and we will get through this together. I'm just so sorry!!!

May the miracle of Christmas fill your hearts once again!!!!

Its' Finally Friday!!!

It's finally Friday and it has been a great week overall!!! For starters I have had a blog post every day this week, now THAT is something after NOT blogging for almost 6 weeks.... LOL. But I am here to report some really wonderful news that I received yesterday!!!!

The paralegal at my attorney's office called and she said that by next Friday, Dec. 16th, the adoption of my precious peanut will be FINAL!!!! Can you believe it?????? In just 8 short weeks the whole thing will be finalized and over--- she will be ours, no questions, no ifs no possibly way anyone could ever yank her back!!!! On Nov. 4th the circuit court awarded us full parental custody awaiting the final petition of adoption, but it still feels so good to know that the adoption is just around the corner from being finalized.

No, we do not have to go to court to finalize it with a judge as most people do, because remember this was a 'close-family' adoption. That is also part of the reason this was so stream-lined and quick!!!! I just can't believe it!!! In 6 months my life has so drastically changed, and it is so full of happiness, unspeakable joy and more love than one heart can handle........

Baby girl you are worth it all...... after every long day, every minute of sleep lost, every diaper I've changed and WILL change, every load of tiny itty bitty clothes I've washed..... you are my reason for being, you are why I was put here...... to be your mother...... to love you as my mother loved me and to be sure you come to know Jesus as your Lord. Know THAT is something to be proud of!!!!

Today baby girl is actually at home with my Aunt who is watching her at our house. Her normal sitter is closed to day because her husband Lance is coming home tomorrow from being deployed overseas for almost a year. They really need some time as a family, so she is closed next week also. My Aunt will be watching her then as well as our house. Its nice to have Chloe at her house, with her toys, in her bed etc. But we hope Ms. Sam and her family has a beautiful and joyous homecoming with her precious hubby!!!!
I've called a million times today to check on them, and they are doing great!!! So I guess I guess I just need to relax and be so thankful that I have a backup to my sitter that I trust and that Chloe loves..... :)

One last thing...... Chloe's Birth mom texted me today and said she has set her Christmas present to her!!! Wow, I had no idea she was sending one, so it should be an exciting surprise when it arrives!!! We will cherish it forever, her first Christmas gift from her birth mother.

I am feeling so blessed this Christmas season, I have the MOST AMAZING, happy baby that anyone could ask for, and I have the most caring and respectful husband that most women only dream of finding, how could I ask for more????

No Words are Needed .....

There are really no words needed today for this picture. This is Chloe this morning on her way to her sitter's house at 6am. The beauty of my child puts me in awe every time I look at her. I am beyond blessed.

Sportin the Christmas outfits!!

So with every little girl comes the fun times of dressing her up in all kinds of fun outfits!!! My peanut has the wardrobe of a diva for sure!! She is still in newborn clothes even at 7 weeks, she is so dainty, but I think we will be moving into 3 months size soon just for the length in some of the sleepers.

But Christmas has snuck up on us so quickly and of course she has had to sport all her fun Christmas themed onesies and outfits to her sitters all the past week and until Christmas to get their full use out of them!!! So I thought I would share in some of them, because of no other reason than she is soooo CUTE!!!!!

Outfit #1 is so true right??? It says "What Santa doesn't Bring, Grandma Will"

My Mom loves this onesie and being the only grandchild, she will be spoiled for sure!

Daddy says these are her 'grandma jeans'....LOL

Then we have the 'I love SANTA' onesie with her fleece sweatpants. She was so snugglie in this!!

Precious girl

This outfit is actually one of my favorite's and was taken this morning during her play time while I got ready for work, I just love her smile and I love the snowman!!

I mean my girl is HAPPY!!!! Sweetness and I must be doing something right??!!

And some of the best pictures of her yet are in her reindeer outfit below. I actually did not get the reindeer on the outfit, but I tried on this little 'jester' hat a friend gave me for her, and it is so big on her peanut head, but boy she turned on the smiles for me and I could not resist her precious cheeks and beautiful eyes.

And this has the be the BEST PICTURE EVER!!!!!

Chloe, when I thought about adopting a baby, I did not know if I could be completely satisfied not having my own biological baby, not ever being pregnant, not ever going through what everybody else did. But in the 7 short weeks you have been in my life, and I have been privileged to be your mommy, I can honestly say that I LACK NOTHING.
I do not have a desire to be pregnant, I do not desire to have one of my own seed, you have brought me everything I could POSSIBLY EVER HAVE WANTED AND MORE, the LORD knew exactly what He was doing the whole time. HE REALLY DID.
You were meant to be Daddy's and my baby. We adore you. We will never, NEVER..... EVER..... let you go.

We cant wait to live life with you!!! You make it all worth while!!

Love you pumpkin!
