Six Months of Wedded Bliss!!!!!

I can hardly believe that tomorrow will mark Sweetness and I's six month wedding anniversary!! It has with out a doubt been the best six months of my life! The Lord sure knew what He was doing when He brought him into my life.

I can not imagine my life with out him, his smile, his touch, his sweet kisses. Thank you babe for loving me in a way I needed, but never even knew! I can not wait to see what new adventures God has in store for us......

Below are some more wedding photos, some of my favorites out of the 1000 we have! I must give a shout out to my amazing photographer, Keith Cephus. He truly captured the essence of our day! Click here to check out some more of his awesome work.

My beautiful Maid of Honor (and BFF) Kate

and Kate's baby girl, Katianna....soooo sweet!

He was doing THE twist!!!

And who knows what I was doing???

This was the best day of my life!!! I will love you forever.

And then we were off to our honeymoon in the beautiful Colorado Rockies!!!! We had such a blast snow skiing, we did not want to come home!!

Update on tomorrow:

I had my pre-op visit at the hospital today. They got ALL pertinent information, and took my blood. I mean a huge pet peeve of mine is people asking the same thing OVER and OVER. I mean is there no congruity to the team? Every person you sit with wants to know what your having done (shouldn't they know that?), how old you are, your doctor etc. It gets so aggravating. THEN, the nurse from the anesthesiologist calls and asks all the same questions again, like 4 hours later!!!! UGHHHHH!

I digress. Surgery is scheduled for noon, I have to be there at 10 am. I will try to post a little update tomorrow evening after I sleep off the anesthesia.
Thank you to all my prayer warriors out there who are praying for us. We can feel it. Please pray this goes smoothly, and is a total success for our IVF cycle in 3 weeks!!
A Scripture for tonight:
"The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies show that His hands created them. Night after night they make it known."

What's for Dinner Sweetness?

Wow!!! What a crazy day! I can not believe it is ONLY Wednesday! Sweetness went into work this morning at 3 am because he is taking off on Friday to take care of me after surgery. I am so blessed with such a wonderful man!!!!

Anyone who knows me IRL (in real life), knows how I HATE TO COOK! I mean it is really bad. I love to clean house and be super annoying about a clean house, but cooking..... not so much. Anyway, God in his infinite wisdom sent me this amazing soul mate of mine, who cooks dinner for us every night. I know ladies.....I am seriously blessed. So me trying to be the good wife, decided I was going to cook HIM dinner tonight, since he has worked 13 hours today. I head on out to Wally World to grocery shop, it needed to be done anyway, and among other things I picked up this......

We love to eat at the Macaroni Grill, so I thought I would try it out!!! Well surprisingly I can follow directions well (ha ha) and it turned out just like the picture on the box!! See check it out for yourself below.

But the real test was how it tasted. And judging by the smile I received, sweetness was a happy man. (It could have just been the fact that I cooked and he did not have to, but he said it was good.) I'll take it!!

So I would say dinner tonight was a success!
On another note, the New Hope clinic called today and told me I have to come in tomorrow morning at 7:15 am to sign all this surgery consent and paperwork, then go to the hospital and get blood work done. Yuck! I asked the nurse more questions today about what was really going to happen during surgery, and I probably should not have. Now I am very nervous about it, but thankfully I will be asleep so I won't feel any of it.
And I want to thank all of you who have viewed my first blog posting and sent me messages on facebook or called me to say you are praying for us on this journey into parenthood. It really means so much to know so many are praying for us, I know God hears every prayer on our behalf. Thank you all!
Ending tonight with a scripture.......
"We will find grace to help us when we need it."
-Hebrews 4:16

Always holding everyone else's Baby!!!

Me holding baby Katianna.....
Sweetness holding baby Autumn.....

and me holding baby Chloe.....

So why am I always holding everyone else's babies??? I guess it's because I have a HUGE family, and it seems it has never quite been my time to have a baby. When sweetness and I got married in January, we knew we wanted to start trying to have a family right away. Well life doesn't always go as planned.......

After 5 months of trying, I had a sneeky suspicion something might be amiss. So we made an appt with the awesome fertlity clinic here in our area called The New Hope Center for Reproductive Medicine. Well they have not completely nailed it down yet, so we have been labeled to have "unexplained infertility". Yeahhh now THAT is what you want to hear! But to make a long story short, we are in our first IVF cycle, and we are looking at target dates of egg harvesting on Aug 10th, with embryo transfer back on Aug 13th 2009. Hopefully by August 25, 2009 we will have a BFP and on our way to parenthood.

As you can see from the pictures above, there is never a lack of cuteness to hold in this family. But we so desperately want it to be us. We are trusting our Lord for this great miracle called life! I am trying not to get my hopes up too much but it is almost impossible! And is it me, or when you WANT a baby, every woman you pass in the store is pregnant! Geesh!

Oh, one last thing! I had a sono-HSG test done today at the fertility clinic, and they found 3 polyps in my uterine cavity. So I am scheduled for surgery to have them removed on Friday morning. Please pray this goes smoothly and no hurdles. Dr P said this will not affect my IVF cycle as I do not start Lupron injections until next Wednesday! Thanks everyone!

Welcome to my Blog!!!

Well I have toyed for some time with starting my own blog!! I am an avid reader of about 25 blogs of others, some I know, others I do not, but I thought it would be a fun way to keep friends and family updated with the goings on of my life with my precious husband, named Sean. But as most of my close peeps will tell ya, he is better known as "sweetness."

We have a lot going on in our life right now, so I will be updating often and trying to learn how my friends do all the things they do with their cool blogs! Thanks for coming along on this journey with us..... and hope to hear comments from you all soon :)
